Shangri-La Wine Region in Yunnan


Geographical Location and Terroir Characteristics:

The Shangri-La wine region is located in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwestern Yunnan, situated on the southeastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and within the heart of the Hengduan Mountains. With an average altitude of over 2,000 meters, it is one of the highest-elevation wine regions in the world. The area boasts a unique plateau climate:
